Coca - Cola (Coke):
History:
Coke was invented by John Stith Pemberton in 1886. Coca-Cola was meant as a drink to create good health and stamina. Pemberton was a pharmacist from Columbus, Georgia who originally made a cocawine called Pemberton’s French Wine Coca in 1885. When prohibition laws were passed within his county, Pemberton set out to make a new, non-alcoholic drink. What he created was a pleasant tasting syrup that could be mixed with carbonated water and served at the soda fountain as a refreshing drink. The trademark “Coca-Cola” was registered in the US Patent Office on January 31, 1893. It is known as one of the most famous drinks of all time.
Qualitative Observations:
- Great taste. Most people prefer it's taste over Pepsi and other sodas.
- It smells like gas and like a regular flavored soda.
- It feels like liquid but more dense than water.

Coke was the second best overall soda in this experiments which also included Pepsi and 7 Select cola. In the two most important factors, Coke had a raw score of 5 for the Price and in Corroison it had a raw score of 4. In the other tests that had the least important factors, Coke had a raw score of 9 in the Cleaning Test and in the Gas Test. The total score for Coke (also know as product A) was 59, on top of Pepsi.
